User Guide

Welcome! Thank you for joining the Smile Bright White family. We sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to assisting you transform your smile.

Soon you will have another reason to smile more and feel great!

Prior to a whitening treatment, it is important that you have healthy teeth and gums and we recommend that you consult with your dental practitioner. You will also get the best results if your teeth have recently been professionally cleaned.

Our whitening gel has been specifically formulated for sensitive teeth. Some users however may experience some temporary teeth and gum sensitivity from whitening, but it doesn't last. If you are prone to sensitivity, we recommend you start using a desensitising toothpaste at least a week prior to whitening to provide you an additional barrier.

Follow the below steps to get the best out of your whitening treatment, and enjoy a brighter whiter smile for longer. Always consult your dentist before commencing any treatment. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and rinse the effected area with water.

1
Pre-Treatment

Your teeth must be clean prior to starting each whitening session. Before each whitening session, floss and brush your teeth with toothpaste as you normally would.

2
Kit Preparation

Remove and discard the short-tip from a gel syringe by twisting it anti-clockwise; and replace it with a long-pointed tip by twisting it clockwise. Between use, store gel in a cool, dry and dark place, avoiding direct sunlight.

After each use, insert the LED mouthpiece in the socket on the top of the light body. The light base comes charged however it is advisable you fully charge it prior to your first use.

To charge, pull aside the small silicon cap at the bottom of the light base, and insert the supplied USB-C cable. Plug in to a USB charger or computer. An internal light will change to green from red once fully charge.

3
Gel Application

Apply a line of whitening gel on the front walls of the mouthpiece, where your teeth surface contact the tray. Do this on both sides to whiten your upper and lower teeth.

You typically only need to whiten your ten most front teeth on your upper and lower jaws, as these are the most visible teeth. Your molars are hidden so it is more economical to only whiten what others see.

Each syringe provides you with enough whitening gel for at least three whitening applications.

It is important that your teeth contact the gel for any whitening to occur. Do not use too much gel that it comes in contact with your gums. Excess gel can cause irritation and sensitivity for some people when coming in contact with gums.

4
Whitening

Your LED light base features an auto-off feature after 10 minutes. This provides you complete control over your whitening times. We recommend each session goes for 20 minutes (2 x 10 minutes) , but no more than 30 minutes (3 x 10 minutes).

Insert the LED mouthpiece in to your mouth and press and hold the button down for 3 seconds to turn it on. Restart it by pressing the button for 3 seconds.

5
Cleaning

Once finished, detach the mouthpiece from the light base by pulling them apart.

Rinse your mouth thoroughly and brush your teeth with a toothbrush (without toothpaste) to remove any remaining gel. Rinse with water.

Clean the mouthpiece with cold water. You can use your toothbrush to remove any remaining gel. Put the mouthpiece aside to completely dry before reattaching to the base.

Important: The light base is not waterproof and should not be submerged under water, even when attached to the LED mouthpiece. Water damage is not covered under warranty.

Tips

Your teeth will gradually become lighter as you whiten over several weeks. You may discontinue whitening at any time if you are happy with the shade of your teeth.

For best results, we recommend you maintain a 'white diet' during and for the week following your whitening treatment. For example, avoid foods, drinks and habits that are known to stain teeth; such as curries, dark sauces, red wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee and smoking.

Several whitening sessions may be required every 6-18 months depending on your diet, lifestyle and hygiene factors. Keep your whitening kit in a cool and dark place until required. Order more whitening gel as required..
